DITTE SØRENSEN

Ditte trained at "Håndarbejdts Fremme" in 2011 and has since then had an extensive production of both commissions and exhibitions of her own works. She is 38 and originally from Jutland. Now living in Copenhagen after having lived for a number of years in Madrid and Hamburg, where Ditte's husband is from. 

also deeply curious about what may emerge from the depths. Sometimes it all ends in an altercation, but the pictures that emerge from it are often the most rewarding for her.


MADSTITCH


Ditte neither draws nor paint her works, rather she sees her sewing thread as a fragile pencil from which little stories sometimes originate. She has an affinity for the less than glamorous ones. Her approach to image work is curiosity, both for the medium, materials and the deviation from the norms. At the same time she is
